People worrying about the TC getting veto crazy...it just doesn't happen. TC's know the backlash for veto'ing a trade that doesn't deserve it is much more than making a terrible trade. They will be fair and just and are only noticeable when something like the RV episodes come along.

Seems you can't win regardless...lol People were against severe punishment for Dump, people are against vetoing trades, people are against the bad trades going thru....lol |

This could easily get out of hand. You're going to have faggots vetoing trades all the time. How is anyone ever going to win a trade? Yeah, that is the concern I would have too and why I don't like vetoing/trade control in leagues like this. That is just why it would be important to choose reasonable people to be on the trade committee. I know it would be very hard to make a trade I would veto. Ya I can agree with that. They're always going to be winners and people just can't go off the deepend when it happens |

If we do a trade veto IMO, not like you guys will care, but I say we should have a trade veto committee. Mods like Matt, 20, Poe and others with plenty of Sim league Exp should be the ones considered. It should have to be more than majority votes as well, like 4 out of 5 or 7 out of 9. And they should each have a legit reason for the trade veto.

I think you misread the post. The point is that not every trade has to go through the trade comittee. Only the ones that are bad. If 3 people say they think a trade should be vetoed, THEN it goes to the trade committee who gets to make a decision. In my baseball league, even like 90% of trades sent to the trade committee passed. 3 random people wouldn't get to veto a trade, they would just get to send it to the trade committee. |

I see. Hopefully not, I don't think people are that gay. If it becomes a problem where tons are getting sent to TC we could adjust the rules at that time.

Yeah, tweaks can be made. Like making it 5 veto votes to go to the committee instead of 3.
I don't picture people saying veto just to say it.
There's always going to be trades where someone got the wrong end of it, but most aren't a huge deal.
This would be to prevent the crazy lopsided deals.

I like the proposal but at the same time I dont because if a few teams in the east wanted to block a trade from happening, even just a few extra sims they could.

That's why we're going to pick a big committee and assign people to specific trades least impacted by the trades.
Yeah, we don't want to have people with hidden agendas voting on bad trades.
