What is done is done. Nothing we can do at this point. But I think the entire league can agree moving forward we need a trade commission.
I don't think every trade should go to the board. But deals like Duncan and ZO should be. When there is league wide outrage something needs to be done.
So I am recommending that we set up a 3 man board. With two alternatives just in case 1 or 2 members are part of a deal under consideration.
I think Poetic, 20/20/20/20, Matt should be the thee on the board. Then have w2d and zpz as alternatives.
But clearly something needs to be done.

I'm personally against this, but if we do have one, this is how my baseball sim did it:
When a trade is agreed to in the completed trades, any owner was able to post "veto" as a reply if they truly thought the deal should not go through. If a single trade got 3 "veto" responses within 24 hours (league only simmed 3 times a week so we could adjust this for ours), then that deal was sent to the trade committee.
When a deal was sent to the trade committee, both owners had 12 hours to post their reasoning/thought process behind making the deal.
The trade committee members would then review the reasoning, and cast their vote. If they thought it sounded like the person had a plan and knew what they were getting into with the move, the trade passed. If cheating/collusion was not suspected, a trade generally passed.
The thing I worry about when vetoing trades and trade committees come into play is that people get trigger happy with a VETO. If this were to become part of the league, I would want people to realize how rare it should be that a deal gets sent to the trade committee.
Non-mods that I would trust/think would make good, unbiased, and well reasoned people to be on the committee: jayrish, w2d, zeropointzero, ohhaithur

Who better than Kahn to make rational, well reasoned decisions on trades?

I'll definitely be on the trade board if another opinion is needed.

I should definitely be in the committee. I know a thing or two about lopsided trades.

You have nothing to brag about taking advantage of people. You would never pull that crap on a competent GM.

This could easily get out of hand. You're going to have faggots vetoing trades all the time. How is anyone ever going to win a trade?

I think people should see the difference between veto type trades and not.
Duncan and Mourning = Veto Trades.
I think it's good to have some kind of system to prevent the outrage we've seen from both trades.

Yeah, that is the concern I would have too and why I don't like vetoing/trade control in leagues like this. That is just why it would be important to choose reasonable people to be on the trade committee. I know it would be very hard to make a trade I would veto.
