Yeah, it's for fun. Matt decided to hold 2 guys back the 1st class, 2nd class he forgot and did a cheap "Everyone declares!" thread, last season he told us he could do it like a day before season was over so we just went with the class. I had time this year and decided to change it up. 2 guys out, 1 guy in.

Well I have no intentions to stick with the RL classes. Plan to mix it up every year.

No, just doing it for fun. Tanking is a fine strategy, but if people don't know for sure who will be coming out. Might make them 2nd guess that decision.

I'd prefer we just stick to real life classes.
If not, it should all be done statistically i.e., Chris Paul has an 85% chance of declaring, so assign numbers 1-85 to declaring, 86-100 to staying, and have a random number generator pick a number from 1-100.
Because in all honesty, its kind of bullshit that I just lost a chance to potentially draft a franchise point guard to replace Marbury (was banking on Williams, Paul, or Felton being there when I'm picking... now only Williams and Felton available) just because you think its "fun" to hold back players randomly.

Isn't "holding a player back randomly" what has happened in 3 of the first 4 years?

How about those Spartans? That fake field goal was awesome.

Isn't "holding a player back randomly" what has happened in 3 of the first 4 years? No, Boozer and Dunleavy were held back in the first year, and then everyone declared in years 2 and 3 of the draft. But whatever, not worth arguing about anymore because nothing's going to change. And 20, I agree- one of the coolest plays I've seen in a college football game, and maybe the ballsiest since Boise State/Oklahoma.

Matt got lazy last year and ran out of time, so he just said everyone declared.
it was never gonna be like that

So what's the deal with this? Is Derron Williams and Bynum not coming out either? They're not on the Draft Link. With out CP3 and those 2 this class is atrocious, only 6 players with A potential and only Bogut may be worth starting this year. In all the other classes there have been great impact rookies year 1 and lots of guys with great potential.
I am not happy about potentially having 2 top 10s and getting fucked because Poe decides to mix things up this year... we should have a vote on whether we mix it up or just do what we've done and have everyone declare. I understand IRL this class wasn't amazing but it did have the 3 of the best PGs in the real NBA today in it (DWill, CP3 and Ellis) not to mention Bynum, who had potential to be great if he weren't made of glass.
I hate to bitch about it but I think it's a little unfair, we need to be consistent. People make trades based on who's coming out in the draft, I would've gotten Philly's 06 pick instead of his 05 if I knew there was a good chance this class would be weak. When that Super 35 was posted I assumed that, like always, everyone eligible would declare. And guys like Roy would pull a TMBSL Melo and come out earlier than expected.
I just think it's crap that this shit wasn't clear before the season started and then a guy like myself gets fucked cuz I made my plans based on precedence.

Skrouse, poe isn't done with the draft file yet. There will be more A guys in there. Foye's file isn't even in there yet.
Bynum and Williams are coming out this year. Really the only moves from real life are CP3 and Ellis out, Foye in.
Ellis was a 2nd rounder IRL anyway. You just lose the #3 pick in 05 and get the #6 pick in 06 to this class.
I think you're overreacting.

I guess if Kobe came out he would be drafted late in the first just like RL? Right? Or would he go number 1? So we lost 2 of the best 10-12 players currently in the NBA for Randy Foye. Seems fair

Not overreacting just making sure those 2 are in it and giving my opinion on how stuff went down. Like I said, we just need to be consistent. There is still FA there are some good players in this class, like I said, I was just going off the precedence that guys were more likely to come out early than stay longer than IRL
