The Press Conferences are fun, easy, creative, and do exactly what you want the articles to do: Get people discussing the happenings of the league.
Each team is allowed one per week. I don't know or care how the points would work out, but the PC's keep everyone involved more than articles IMO. Perhaps we just add weekly PC's as an option.

Because that rewards tanking and people pulling a Matt to load up on 1 draft class, pile up points then spend them all on A potential superstars.
Not like people weren't already doing that anyway, but the extra incentive of 5 extra points per season would only encourage that more.

What would be the point of just giving teams points just for existing bankz? The ENTIRE point of articles is to stimulate activity and discussion in the league, not to make people's players better. Points are awarded as motivation to write articles.
If we just gave everyone points for simply being a team, there would be no point. Why even hand those points out? The points need to reward/stimulate activity, as the press conference idea would do.
