5. Miami Heat (jayrish): For a person that wants to tank so bad, he is not doing a very good job at that. What do you expect when you have the one player on your team that wants to win so bad that he doesn’t listen to his boss, and that player is your best overall? Yes, Paul Pierce is that stubborn. Jayrish is not a bad GM at all, in fact he is a very good one, but he just has bad luck so far and is one of the hottest teams in the league with a record of 6-3 in the last 10 games. He just has bad luck with trades. In the 2002 draft he had the #9 pick, could have traded up to the #5 and get Nene, but instead he was forced to trade to KAAAAHN and the T-Wolves and they select Caron Butler. For what it’s worth, Caron Butler is one of the best rookie SFs in the league. It’s not his fault that GM Bankz kept on changing his deal with Jayrish, and Jay didn’t end up getting superstar Jermaine O’Neal. He also whiffed on the Tim Duncan sweepstakes, but again it wasn’t his fault that GM dumptime was too infatuated with texting with GM rv12 rather than PMing the other owners. But this is one of the worst tanking jobs ever, and he has whiffed on all of the big name trades he was apart in. The good news is that he still has The Truth (even though he is still feverishly trying to get rid of him for the right price) and a young gun in Eddie Griffin who is a solid double double guy who gets 3 blocks a game. He says he really wants one of the big 4 this year, but let’s and see if his team finally gets his message. Lord knows that the rest of the Eastern Conference is not looking forward to the Heat if they finally do tank correctly for the last 30 games. They are the 8th/9th worst team in the standings so far this year so they have some work to do, but it shouldn’t be hard in the East. I think we can all say no one should think that Jayrish will be on this list next year, and in fact he barely made it this year.
4. Milwaukee Bucks (trofie): Trofie had a shit team to take over with and has shown he can be a good GM, something that his many predecessors haven’t been capable of. His first move was with trade master ohhaithur getting sim league slut Jamal Crawford, Jarron Collins, and 2 late first round picks probably (one in 2004 and one on 2005) for Jerry Stackhouse and Chris Whitney. Basically gave up Stackhouse for 2 first round picks because Crawford didn’t even last on his team. Then he traded with the Commish of the league and got Mehmet Okur, Hedu Turkoglu, and and a 2005 2nd round pick for Crawford and the infamous Eric Chenowith. Both aren’t necessarily bad picks, but he gave up one of the best scorers in the league in Stackhouse for a couple of late draft picks and 2 role players. It would be fine if he had a shot at a top 5 pick this year, but he doesn’t have his pick (not his fault) and he has the Hawks pick which is likely a late pick also. The positive in his team is that he has very young players such has Tyson Chandler, Hedo Turkoglu, Mike Miller, Mehmet Okur, Michael Wright, and Omar Cook. If they all reach their potential that could be a solid team, but they are stuck in the East and probably would be a fringe playoff team. The shocker is Michael Wright leading the team in scoring at 16 ppg. They could have a good team if Trofie makes the right moves, but since has the 3rd worst record in the league so far he is on this list. It all depends on how Trofie deals with his first draft and full offseason as the Bucks owner.
3. Memphis Grizzlies (scatman duse): His first trade of the league wasn’t bad at all. He ended up raping sim league cum dumpster dumptime and getting their valuable 2003 1st rounder, their 2002 1st rounder, and some other creation draft picks for the Grizzlies 1st round creation draft pick (which became Ray Allen). But it seems like it has been kind of downhill after that. First he gave up Alonzo Mourning, Scottie Pippen, and 2004 1st round pick for Joel Pryzbilla, Damone Brown, and Denver’s 2002 pick (which turned out to be Dajuan Wagner). Wagner wasn’t a bad pick, but giving up Mourning (who is the best defensive player in the league) and Pippen who could have been a valuable veteran seemed to be too much. The second trade he completed was with the Rockets. He got 2 2003 1st round picks (which turned out to be late, late first round picks) and a 2002 2nd round pick (which turned out to be Milos Vujanic) for John Stockton, Latrell Sprewell, and a 2004 Lakers 1st round pick. This could turn out to be a good trade depending on how the picks turn out, but so far it is not. It got Rockets GM jpripper 2 solid veterans for his championship run, and a 1st round pick, and all he got so far was Milos Vujanic. Vujanic has been solid with 9 ppg but he hasn’t seen action in half of the games and Kenyon Dooling is now the starting PG. The third trade he completed was with the Lakers. He sent his leading scorer, Glenn Robinson, for Adrian Griffin, Kyle Hill, 2003 1st round pick, and a 2004 2nd round pick. He cut Adrian Griffin immediately from his roster, and I don’t think he has Kyle Hill anymore so basically this trade was for the picks. The Lakers 1st round pick could be lottery since they are free-falling right now, but in the West it could be unlikely. I mean the best thing and I guess his goal was getting all those 2003 1st round picks, which right now he has 5, and it is an incredibly deep class. Again it just all depends on who he drafts to see who truly got the better end of those deals. Right now he has the 2nd worst record in the West and could get 2 top 10 picks depending on what the lowly Mavericks do the rest of the way.
2. Golden State Warriors (melo): In the 2nd most confusing trade in this sim league’s history, new Warriors owner melo traded Allen Iverson and Jamario Moon for Troy Murphy. It is not as bad as the other notorious trade because he got 2 solid young players with potential in Troy Murphy and Mike Bibby, but he did get rid of Allen Iverson, the price could have been higher. The second trade was with Pistons GM rv12. The Warriors got Marcus Fizer and a 2003 2nd rounder for the infamous Kenny Thomas. While Fizer has been a solid scorer off the bench and the pick could be late, the Pistons later got Tim Duncan for Kenny Thomas, so that deal doesn’t shine as much. Probably the best deal the Warriors made but sadly melo didn’t make it (it was former Warriors owner, copacetic, RIP), was during the creation draft with Bulls GM bankz. The Warriors got Keith Van Horn, the Bulls 2003 1st rounder, and some other picks for Jamal Crawford and Kenyon Dooling (neither are on the Bulls anymore). What Bankz didn’t know was that he would suck this much ass during the season leading up to the 2002 draft, and what Copa didn’t think would happen was that the Warriors would suck even more ass than Bankz this season. So luckily dropping in his lap was the top 2 lottery picks (the 2 picks with the best chance) in the 2003 draft, which includes LBJ, Wade, Bosh, Boozer, and Darko. But I mean his team is getting absolutely SPANKED this year. Murphy and Bibby are the only 2 players on the team doing thing, and Ime Udoka has turned out to be pretty solid for a rookie. It all depends on if he drafts like an average GM or like the Pistons did in 2003 in real life and draft a bust instead of getting a Carmelo or Bosh. Their record alone should be enough to get a mention on this list. They are, wait for it, 7-48, that’s right I said 7-48. Their home record is even worse at a whopping 3-25, their home record so bad that no team even comes close to it. Gives up 98.5 points per game and gets 84.3 points per game, that’s a difference of 14.2 points a game. He has more than $18 million in cap space right now and could get more when the offseason arrives. Let’s all grab our popcorn and watch what he does in the offseason to see if he will always be on this list like dumptime or move of this list at some point.
1. Dallas Mavericks (dumptime): The most idiotic and retarded GM probably in the history of any NBA sim league ever is in charge of the Mavericks, and boy do I feel bad for their sim fans. He got impatient with his team after 1 year and traded all of their stars and future star for complete and utter trash. Their first trade was with GM w2d and the Hawks. The Mavs gave up Ray Allen, resurgent Mookie Blaylock, and a 2002 2nd round pick for Jamal Mashburn, Juwan Howard, Derek Fisher, and a 2003 2nd round pick. While this trade was not that bad because all 3 guys have had good seasons, he still gave up a superstar for 3 players that seemingly no one wants anymore. The Hawks have been unstoppable when W2D put Mookie Blaylock in the starting lineup, and Ray Allen is well Ray Allen still and the Hawks are still in the hunt in the East. The 2nd trade was much much worse and it involved GM ZeroPointZero and the Knicks. The Mavs got Toni Kukoc, Aaron McKie, Charles Oakley, and the Magic’s 1st round draft pick if they are not in the lottery for Richard Jefferson. The only players left on the Mavericks roster is the draft pick and Aaron McKie. Charles Oakley got cut immediately and Kukoc got traded for a younger piece later on. While GM dumptime was fed up with the non-development of Jefferson, it was a horrible trade giving up a A potential player for old players and expiring contracts. GM dumptime was so retarded that he didn’t even know what a lottery protected draft pick was at the time . The worst trade ever in NBA sim league history (as stated by veterans jsirr13 and Matt) was with GM rv12 and the Pistons. The Mavs gave up TIM fucking DUNCAN for Kenny Thomas, Drew Gooden, Wally Szczerbiak, 2003 Pistons 1st round pick, and 2004 Jazz 1st round pick. First of all, giving up a once of a lifetime player for complete trash is retarded. GM dumptime got shit on time after time for this and will continue to do so and deservingly so. Who knows what went through his head, not even the man himself knows what went through his head at the time. Some GMs say the reason is because GM rv12 was texting him and GM dumptime was overwhelmed that someone was texting him and his mind went blank in excitement. Other GMs say it is because GM dumptime is literally retarded, which could be the case also. The aftermath was mayhem especially for the commish. No one really wanted to fire him (except for user bankz and IanBoyd), and most people didn’t want other GMs peeking at his trades to approve of them. So finally the mighty and fair commissioner Matt said that the next trade he is ohhaithurd him gets him fired. Now GM dumptime is feeling the aftermath in his retarded mistake, as the Grizzlies GM now has a very valuable 1st round pick, and that the Mavericks has been 4-12 without Duncan so far. The Mavericks were a fringe playoff team at 15-20 with Duncan, and now they are in the bottom 5 teams and dumptime is the #1 worst GM. The next trade he did was actually a good one or a fair one (which brought shock to the league). It was between GM 20/20/20/20 and the Eastern Conference Powerhouse Hornets. It brought Bryan Bracey to Dallas for Toni Kukoc and the Mavs 2003 2nd round pick. Bryan Bracey, who was highly thought of by the Maverick franchise, finally gets some playing time in Dallas after being suffocated by Rashard Lewis all those years. The Eastern Conference Powerhouse Hornets get a good veteran for their playoff chase and a top 2nd round pick all of a sudden. The Mavs after all the trades have basically $22 million dollars in expiring contracts this offseason and it will be interesting to see who they resign and get in free agency. They also have the Pistons 1st round pick (which could be a lottery pick depending on how the Pistons do in the East), the Magic 2003 1st if they are not in the lottery (pretty much lock), and 2 2nd round picks (including the Bulls’ which could be a top 2 2nd round pick). He should look for any young players with A potential left and grab them up because he will be rebuilding for quite some time.
