In some of the scouting reports they mention that some players may not come over right away.
I wanted to know if draft a international player do you have the option as owner to not sign him and let him play in Europe for a few years.
For Example 18 year old Darko. If I draft him in the first can I keep him stashed in Europe till he turns 21 then sign him to a deal and bring him over?
This question is more for down the road when the cap plays a factor. Because I don't think anyone this year would chose to stash players. But 4 or 5 years down the road some title contenders may need to do this .............

Also can you explain what happens when you draft a player who might not "want" to come over.
Do you have to give him more money? Do you have to wait for him to change his mind?
Just want to fully understand what is involved with drafting a International player............

I think the two options are you pay out his international contract or you let him stay overseas and play it out.
I think you still get the player for 4 years minimum no matter the choice.

Is the buy out added into his contract? Or is it a 1 time hit for the 1st year of the deal? Just asking cap wise.

Depends, Manu was a 1 year deal. I think Matt was hinting that Darko might be multiple years of extra salary.

No, Manu is a 4 year deal. But the Spurs had to pay extra salary for the 1st season.

I definitely want the option to stash Euros and at the same time I want to know more about the costs and euro commitments before the draft. Most teams have a good idea of what it would and will cost to bring the player over or how long he is committed to his euro team.

Look at Zarko's profile for an example of how these work.
