There's no reason to not pick them on one year deals, is there? Exactly. Especially because you will get them cheap. No bidding, just free rein. Basically it is adding a draft process for people that didn't get to 12 or want to fill out their IR. Except there is no lottery and they just pick who they want. No clue what other kind of structure it will have at this point. why would you pay players to sit on the inactive list?

:angrycorn: When I forfeited it was because I didn't want these two on 2 year 1.5m contracts when I could get them for one year, .3-1.0m like I was told. Exactly it would make sense to do that. However, logic would have been that teams would have to bid and some would get stuck having to offer 2 year deals anyway and more money to lure the player to sign. That is one reason I didn't forfeit. Of course that apparently is not the plan. You can get your players if you get your list in first and get them at a discount and on a 1 year deal.

be mad at your work computer man, not at the league/commish
90% of the people had to pick from work too
really the only people that don't have a job is me, and I won't be picking up anybody else

Might want to look into the NBA though, it happens. With basically no teams (probably literally 0) having cap issues it pays to fill your IR with the best players you can. You obviously haven't thought through it very much, so you aren't really understanding.

He would be the one to ask.

Beyond that, what about if you have 3 players hurt? What if you make a trade giving up 1 player more than you get? It is not as important as the NBA in terms of practice and development, but the way it got setup makes it so it behooves everyone to get the max 15 best players they can. Having the 280-283 players vs the 425-428 players might matter at some point.

He would be the one to ask. jsirr13 isn't running this league he is just the only one that can get in contact with Matt ok, so he is the moderator with direct contact with the commish. I would say ATM he is running or in charge of the league. Whether that be for 10 minutes or 10 hours and whether he is just relaying things or not. That was my point. He is the one most likely to have answers.

He said that Matt/Mops has had a stressful day at work today, so I would doubt that he would call/text him with petty questions, but would rather let Matt answer them himself when he comes on. when he comes on, who knows, but it will probably be late since he is on PST

So FA picks will be a free for all? ONLY for if you want to pick up a player from the draft pool it is still a bidding war for regular FAs during the offseason
