Perkins is better than anyone he can get @ #8. Seems good for him imo. I wasn't going to resign, so I get a decent pick in the process.

Perkins contract > KG's
Perkins had 10+ rebounds and 3+ blocks last year, was #1 in the playoffs. Room to grow.

I'm justifying it when compared to KG who makes 21m this year and will get upwards to 30m soon @ 31 who's more likely to start declining.
13m guy with a double double and 3 blocks who's no where near my scoring options in a run n gun offense (5th option at best) vs. an overpaid PF who hasn't dominated anything in this league despite having the best big man ratings. =/

I'm saying Perkins' contract > KG's all day.
MJ gets the best player in the deal as I get Marc Gasol to stash, sure is some ohhaithur there.
