Original ratings: C+ C+ C A C B Didn't realize he started with A defense. That's why I looked it up. Bankz took him #2 too. Now that we've seen the ratings we can debate the pick imo. He took him over Bogut and Marvin Williams. Right now it looks like there's only a 30% chance (1-3) that he was worth the #2 pick while #2 picks have had much better success than that progressing naturally. Even if he hits #1 I'm still not a fan of the move.

They've progressed naturally, but they also are using up their rookie contract years.

They've progressed naturally, but they also are using up their rookie contract years. Huh? You still get a 4 year rookie deal when they come back.

He is saying that while the regular #2 picks have progressed more than Koralev, they also are using up 2 years of their rookie deals. Therefore, if Koralev had progressed just as much as most #2 picks and still had a 4 year rookie deal coming, it would be even more of an advantage.

Yeah if I hit a the top 2 (unlikely) Korolev would be a fucking monster. And on a 4 year deal.
If I avoid about 3 rolls I would say my gamble payed off.
