More I've thought about it and since no one has done it yet but would probably try. I figured I'd add this.
You cannot buy out a player if it'll put you over the Hard Cap.
What this means is, you can't buy a guy out in the playoffs to go over the HC, and have all that salary disappear before the 48 hours is up without you doing anything.
