Thabo Sefolosha Age: 22 Height: 6’7’’ Weight: 205 Position: SG/SF Inside = C+: Sefolosha does most of his damage overseas slashing to the hoop. His mid-range game is a big time work in progress (to put it kindly), as he has a hard time creating his shot off the dribble. That is a skill NBA level SGs need to have. Outside = C-: Has very poor mechanics jump shot wise, with a slow release and not enough lift on his shot. He has made strides, but he still has a long way to go before he demonstrates an NBA caliber jump shot. Handling = C+: Has the ability to slash to the hoop, while also avoiding turnovers. Has experience playing PG from his junior days. Defense = B+: Frequently asked to match up against opposing teams’ best player. Can guard PG’s to SF’s. Very intense defender who combines superb fundamentals with his physical strengths. Rebounding = C+: Surprisingly one of the better facets of his game. Has good wingspan and the same intensity displayed on defense is also seen when Thabo attacks the boards. Potential = B: Does Thabo Sefolosha have superstar potential? Probably not, but he excels at many of the things winning teams need. His defense will keep him in the league for a long time, and if his offensive game develops, it will be icing on the cake.
