Age- 17 Height- 6'9 Weight- 255 Position- PF/C Former Team- Prentiss HS Strength'sA man child. Jefferson already has a big time NBA body and is seriously strong. His post skills are good (great footwork), but for the most part just uses his strength, a la Shaq, to knock over weaker defenders to the basket. He's a big time scorer averaging an amazing 42 ppg this season. Has a nice mid range jumper, but does most of his scoring around the basket. He's also a strong rebounder. WeaknessHe's not a great athlete . . . more of a bruiser. Doesn't jump very high, but is an explosive jumper. Scouts claim that conditioning has been an issue in the past. He was up to 280 pounds this summer before getting down to his current weight of 263. For someone so strong, his defense is pretty average. Scout's TakeJefferson gets the Eddy Curry comparisons constantly thrown his direction. He's that type of skilled low post scorer, with the same type of conditioning issues that Curry faced. The difference is that he's a few inches shorter and can't play center. That's a pretty big difference. Scouts say he could really help his stock by going to school, but for now he's in. He's a likely mid to late first rounder. Ratings[/u] B C C B- C A
