Strengths
Gooden is a very talented and strong power forward who dominates on the low block. Very athletic and a player who knows how to get the rebound and can fight off anyone for it. He is considered to be the best rebounder entering this draft. Gooden is also great at finishing the hard work and throwing it down.
Weakness
Gooden can be viewed at times as a headcase. He butted heads with head coach Roy Williams at Kansas as a freshman. He's also not the greatest jump shooter and outside he's not the greatest scoring threat. As talented and athletic as he is he still isn't the greatest shot blocker and takes plays off at times on defense.
Scout's Take
Gooden is the best power forward in this draft and is a terrific rebounder who can finish down low. Be aware of his ego however as if things don't come easily he could shy away from competing. Regardless of his ego he is a top 5 pick.
