The problem is that bankz had to send out 15-16 million to take Zos 17.5
The only other way it would have worked is if Banks sent 11 million in contracts to me in exchange for nothing, then Ian sen Zo for the picks, and then I sent the contracts to Ian.

The cap space is irrelevant if acquiring that player puts you over.
In real life NBA you could take that cap space and use it as a Traded Player Exception for that amount. But it cannot be combined with other players, only picks.

Orlando has $8,089,26 cap space. A trade of Zo for Harrington, May, Laettner which is $9,508,101 would work.
