Bucks – Wizards
Bucks get: C Shaquille O’Neal, SG/SF Michael Finley
Wizards get: PG Erick Barkley, SG Trajan Langdon, 2006 Wizards 1st round pick
Overview: The Bucks get one of the best centers in the game, and a solid 15 ppg scorer at SG for basically a 1st round pick. The Wizards GM was going to go in full rebuilding mode, but no one knew he would sell his prized possession this cheaply. The negative for the Bucks are that they still might not make the playoffs due to a Sixers team that still has some life in them, and they might not be able to resign and probably max the Shaq Daddy, all the while, taking on a horrible contract for Finley. Sure Finley is a solid role player, but in no way shape or form is he worth that much money, and I think the Wizards GM figured that out when he saw the results in the first sim. On the other hand, Barkley doesn’t have a very nice contract and he does even less than Finley, while Langdon is a mystery. I understand the Wizards are rebuilding/tanking, but this is like diving headfirst in the shallow end of the swimming pool. Almost reminds you of the infamous Tim Duncan trade. So far, the Bucks aren’t any closer to the playoffs, but if they can resign the stars that they got this year, they could actually be a contender for some years to come. It seems like yesterday, when the Bucks were the perennial losers in this league due to a couple huge mistakes by the previous GMs, but Trofie has turned the Bucks into a respectable franchise, and he should be applauded. I sure hope whatever Clown is doing works out well for him because if it doesn’t, this trade will still look awful for him.

Jazz – Magic
Jazz get: PG Sam Cassell
Magic get: PG Earl Watson, Sacramento 2006 2nd round pick
Overview: This trade reeked of desperation. Actually, that is actually what it was at the time. MJ in his quest to tank to the fullest, got rid of the last good piece he had from what once was a championship team. Now he won’t get to touch that trophy for a long time unless he makes a big splash soon. While ohhaithur, not sure whether or not to tank or try to make the playoffs, decided to try and get the #8 seed and hopefully strike magic and make a run. It’s not totally impossible in the West, knowing it is so deep. The Jazz get one of the most veteran point guards in the league to try and mentor his young protégé in Sebastian Telfair, all the while trying to play shooting guard for the Jazz. Cassell, even though he is as old as the earth itself, is still averaging a very good 20-25 point per game and is a good scoring companion alongside Jerry Stackhouse. While the Magic get the big but short contract of Earl Watson, who all of a sudden is the #1 scoring option with the Magic, with a mid-to-late 2nd round pick in 2006 pick. I think we all know MJ would have offered a handjob if it got rid of Cassell.

Jazz – Wizards
Jazz get: SF Clifford Robinson
Wizards get: PG Manuel Nystrom
Overview: This is what the Jazz do best. Ohhaithur is the king of meh deals. Did this deal really need to be done? No. Clifford Robinson is an old man with an expiring contract and solid ratings for being that old. He gives ohhaithur a solid 3rd string backup in case his whole team goes down. Manuel Nystrom is a young PG with some very meh ratings so far, that has a 1% chance at developing into any kind of a decent role player. No draft picks were involved, which is very not like ohhaithur to do, but it didn’t need to be done really.

Spurs – Wizards
Spurs get: SF Peja Stojakovic
Wizards get: 2006 Spurs 1st round pick
Overview: This was a good deal for both teams. Spurs get a better but older version of Mike Dunleavy for 21 days or more, and the Wizards get a solid 1st rounder for someone that they would probably have not resigned in the offseason. Peja gives the Spurs another 20 point scorer alongside of Eddie House, Jalen Rose, and Kevin Garnett. Plus it gives them some depth with Dunleavy coming off the bench which is critical for a playoff push and is what they needed. This is another team like the Bucks that turned a perennial loser into hopefully a contender. The negative side of this trade is that are they likely to resign him, especially with Kevin Garnett probably gonna demand most of the money and he is their #1 priority. Plus they don’t really need to resign him for as much money as he is probably gonna ask for since they have a 22 year old version of Peja on the bench. It all depends on if he this gets him that final push into the playoffs. In my opinion, it probably won’t seeing as ohhaithur and Blazers GM duc15, have their eyes set on that #8 spot. Wizards come out golden in this trade. 1 out of 3 ain’t too bad forzard them. They get a fringe lottery pick for someone that wasn’t in their plans to rebuild.
Spurs Grade: B
Wizards Grade: B+
Raptors – Jazz
Raptors get: SF Corey Maggette, PF Bo Outlaw, 2006 Jazz 2nd round pick
Jazz get: PG Earl Watson, 2006 Raptors 1st round pick
Overview: Good 1st trade for the rookie GM soup. It’s tough doing the first one with such a trade veteran such as ohhaithur. Jazz give up their first born baby in Maggette to a team that desperately needs that 2nd scorer alongside the greatest of all time Kobe Bryant. While the Raptors also get a solid backup rebounder to Brian Cardinal in Bo Outlaw. The second round pick is pretty much worthless due to the fact that the Jazz should be back in the hunt for a West title and out of this fluke season they are in right now. Knowing that Earl Watson turned into Sam Cassell makes this a great trade for the Jazz. While Ohhaithur is gathering up 2006 1st rounders like a squirrel gathers up nuts before winter comes, but he doesn’t really get an attractive one in this trade. As long as Kobe is on this team, they will never be in the lottery. Before ohhaithur traded Watson for Cassell, this trade was not that good for ohhaithur knowing as much he valued Maggette and loved and coddled him until he was ready to leave the nest. Maggette is very young and should resign for cheap, and Outlaw who is another expiring you could resign him but he is going up in age and he really only does one thing well. We’ll see if Maggette can spread his wings alongside of Kobe and away from his overprotective GM.

Sonics – Lakers
Sonics get: SG/SF Jamal Mashburn
Lakers get: 2006 Sonics 1st round pick
Overview: The Lakers were willing to blow things up after the team was not as good as GM Lulu hoped this year and wanted to get rid of their leading scorer for some picks. He ended up taking a now late 1st round pick for him. While the silent but deadly Sonics GM thickduck, lurked in the background and snatched up another scorer to go along with 2 of the league’s best scorers in Chauncey Billups and Dirk Nowitzki. Now the trade kind of saved him, since Billups ended up going down with a major injury that will hold him out until the conference finals if they even make it there. Before the injury, this deal was still great for the Sonics. They got a great scorer (25 ppg) to make their title push in a very jumbled up Western Conference. This was a strictly rental type move because their plans will revolve around trying to resign Dirk and Billups to stay in the Seattle for as long as possible, with him being the 3rd option. They gave up nothing at all, thinking that their 2006 pick will be worth as much as the Celtics 2006 pick basically. You can’t really say the Lakers made a bad deal anyhow because they got exactly what they wanted. They blew it up but still kept their best player and got a 1st round pick in the process, no matter how bad the pick is. In the end, the clear winner are the Sonics.

Jazz-Heat
Heat get: PF/C Raef LaFrentz, PF Brian Grant, 2005 Hawks 2nd round pick
Jazz get: PF Eddie Griffin, PG Manuel Nydstrom, 2005 Heat 1st
Overview: This is a trade that involves both of the team’s most loved players. Ohhaithur loved Raef because of his work ethic and his tenacity to go against the best with all he has. Jayrish loved Eddie Griffin because of his defense and his potential to be a freakin stud one day. Ohhaithur got a younger, better, darker version of Raef and a 1st rounder. It was quite a tradeoff for him since now he has actual athletic ability on his team down low. Jayrish gets a solid big man to go along with his prized rookie Dwight Howard, and Raef could go back to his natural position as power forward. The question is was Raef the key to ohhaithur’s success early on. With Raef, they went deep into the playoffs many times and were the only reason the Western Conference was worth a shit early on. Now they are a fringe playoff team that have a lot of question marks on how their future goes. While Jayrish is relaxing in Miami with his #5 team in the East coasting towards the playoffs. Maybe all they needed was the strong work ethic to go along with Dwight Howard, Paul Pierce, and Bonzi Wells. Maybe losing the heart and soul of Salt Lake City was too much for the Jazz. He is teaching young Dwight Howard the ways of simRaef so some day, he can be the heart and soul of Miami. This was a good trade at the time both teams made it in my opinion. The hidden person in this trade is Brian Grant. He gets to return to the town he loves and he brings toughness to the bench and is a solid backup to Raef. While Manuel Nydstrom is now in Washington.

Spurs – Hawks
Spurs get: PF/C Kevin Garnett, SG Michael Dickerson, SF Federico Kammerichs
Hawks get: PF/C Kwame Brown, SG Manu Ginobli, 2005 Suns 1st round pick, 2005 Spurs 1st round pick
Overview: This trade is very similar to any trade with some of the superstar big men in this league, so similar you could say it is a trend. Another one is traded for next to nothing compared to what he would have gotten if he was actually on the market even for a little bit. Manu is a solid piece, but Kwame so far in this league is just like Kwame in al relife. The 2 first rounders aren’t too impressive since the Suns team all of a sudden decided to come out of their shells, and the Spurs pick is a fringe lottery pick in a bad class. Dickerson is a solid role player, but hardly gets any playing time because of the cluster of shooting guards that the Spurs have. The other guy was just included to help the cap situatuin out and is probably on the inactive roster. Kwame turned out solid but he is what he was in San Antonio, which was a solid 8 ppg and 8 rpg player, and not even half the player KG was. Even with all that, the Hawks are still gonna end up being a top 4 team in a weak Eastern Conference. This trade still isn’t over until we know who W2D picks with those draft picks, but I don’t even thing if he picks some of Poetic’s super rookies, it would gloss over this giant turd sandwich of a trade. While the Spurs look like what rv12 usually does in trades which is ohhaithur them until they are unconscious. Especially if KG wants to resign with them, which they will accept no matter what dollar amount it is.

Fighting Kahns – Pistons
Fighting Kahns get: C Alonzo Mourning
Pistons get: C Brenden Haywood, 2006 TWolves 1st round pick, 2005 TWolves 2nd round pick
Overview: Another example of a disturbing trend in this league, I honestly feel bad for Zo with how bad he is being undervalued in trades. TWolves let go of their starlet after David Kahn was not pleased with his progress after all the blood, sweat, and tears he put in to make him a beast. So they turned to the rapist, who in turn got ohhaithurd. When this trade happened every Western Conference GM yelled FUCK because one of the best if not the best team in the conference added one of the best overall centers in the league for pennies on the dollar. Both of the draft picks are worthless because both will be in the bottom of the barrel, so it is basically Zo for Haywood straight up. Zo, who is now averaging a very healthy 29 ppg, 11 rpg, and 4 blocks per game, is a legit MVP and the soon to be DPOY winner. While Haywood is averaging a less than stellar 14 ppg, 9 rpg, 3 blocks per game. While the TWolves are close to the top of the West due to a poorly timed slump, and the Pistons are at the bottom of the playoffs in the East looking at probably an early exit, even with Duncan and AI. Zo brings fear to the eyes to many if not all the big men in the league even reportedly having some games with double digit blocks. This brings joy to the dark and cold heart of GM David Kahn because Zo is what Kahn eventually wanted Haywood to become. Kahn doesn’t do much trading in the league, but when he does, he wins big time.
Pistons Grade: D-, only because Haywood is decent
