Whoever the Raptors are should really make their first pick. 20/20/20 Can you help me out and give me a brief summary of what this league is all about. For instance, what do the stats mean on the draft eligible players list? In, Out, Hn, Df, Reb, Pot Also, how do you predict a player's progression? I asked about Sean Williams being a beast in another league, and was told that players in these leagues don't follow real life progressions.

The ratings stand for this: Attributes Inside Scoring: C+ Outside Scoring: B- Handling: C+ Defense: C+ Rebounding: C Potential: C They don't necessarily follow real life progressions. I've never played in a league for this actual game, but I've done multiple baseball ones in the past. The ratings are taken from how the players were thought of in 2001. From there on, anything can happen. You can predict their progression based on their ratings, age, and potential, but nothing is certain, sort of like in real life. There is some chance of my guy with good potential not developing quite as much as your player with good potential. One way to think of it would be if you had a copy of an NBA video game from 2001, and you simulated seasons, the star players in the league 5 years down the road wouldn't be the same as in the real NBA. It's just a different dynamic. You will need to use all the same skills and strategies that real life GMs and coaches would have to use, but the best players may be different by the time we get to the 2008 season.

Predicting a player's progression is a just like in real life almost. A means the player has a lot of room to grow and get better. B a step below that. C most likely means they are in the prime. D means they are getting worse. Now will they follow the trend of potential? Most of the time yes other times now.

I also think it would be a good idea like someone said to have a thread where we can discuss the draft and stuff and then one thread where only the picks are posted.
Also, will the OP be updated as picks are made?

Yes, please make a discussion thread so it's easier to follow. So you want a thread for drafting players only and a thread for talking about the draft only?

Yes, it would really make things easier to follow. We can discuss the draft in the one thread and the other will be clean with just draft picks.

Yes, please make a discussion thread so it's easier to follow. So you want a thread for drafting players only and a thread for talking about the draft only? Yeah because even though Toronto made his pick in here it is pretty hard to find/notice it.
